Puppy Primary

 

My Pet Place offers a safe environment that will see you and your dog thrive together with the skilled guidance of our friendly, professional training staff through our five week Puppy Primary program. While we teach and guide you with proven training techniques, we encourage you to ask questions and take advantage of our trainers and classes, but most of all have fun doing it!

 

My Pet Place Puppy Primary is the next step up from Puppy Pre-School. Dogs that have completed the Puppy Pre-School Course will have an easier time transitioning to Puppy Primary. If your dog has not completed Puppy Pre-School and you feel like you might need extra help, please talk to one of our friendly trainers so we can work out a solution to fit your needs.

What to expect

The My Pet Place Puppy Primary course is designed to further elaborate on the training principles covered in the My Pet Place Puppy Pre-School course. The course is designed to cement a strong training foundation that allows you to have a dog that is well-trained, well-behaved and a friendly member of society. Basic obedience will be covered and tested in real life scenarios. You dog will be given lots of exposure to people, dogs and situations to socialize them adequately for the real world. Your dog will also be challenged in distracting environments so that they start to perform even in high pressure situations. Our trained instructors will guide you through each step of the program and help solve any issues or problems that may arise along they way.

Our reward-based training program will;

  • Teach you how to communicate with your pup

  • Teach the importance of socialisation, mental and physical stimulation

  • Create a solid training foundation

  • Prepare your dog for large general obedience classes

  • Help you find the correct equipment and appropriate rewards for the best results

  • Introduce you puppy to mat training, pivot, advanced recall, position changes, advanced heel, loose leash walking + more!

Pricing

Our Puppy Primary program is $175 for a 5 week course. While we teach and guide you with proven training techniques, we encourage you to ask questions and take advantage of our trainers and classes, but most of all, have fun doing it!
